These high interest low readability books will help my struggling readers by giving them the confidence in their capabilities to read and comprehend texts independently. My students often get discouraged when it comes to reading books that they are interested in because the books are often too difficult for them. High interest low readability books, gives them the ability to read books they want to read on their levels. Being able to build confidence in my struggling readers, is giving them an opportunity to succeed. The high interest intervention reading folders, will allow to me to work with small groups.
