I teach in public high school in Kansas. As an 'elective' teacher, we are often overlooked for updated resources. Kansas has been suffering a huge shortage in education funding due to inadequate and unfair funding at the hands of the current gubernatorial administration. My students are eager learners, and interested in learning languages. They have opportunities to travel with an exchange program at our school. I am an active teacher, working on using TPRS and CI methods to help my students gain proficiency in Spanish. I strive to incorporate activities that are engaging, interesting, and culturally relevant for my students.
