We are a three unit elementary school with an extra unit in second and third grade. Our third grade departmentalizes for math, so we share seventy-two students among four teachers. We are self contained for our language arts, science, and social studies. Our home rooms have eighteen students each. Our math classes vary from sixteen to twenty-four, depending on the needs of the students. We have students from many cultures in our classes this year. Fourteen out of eighteen of my students this year have attended this school since kindergarten. Due to this, they have strong relationships with each other. We are a very accepting and inclusive school and class, meaning even those new to the school feel included and happy. We have an excellent school climate, as evidenced by content parents. Substitutes who work in our building often comment that the climate here is very positive.
