My students are a wonderful group of children, and mostly live in the Southwest and West Philadelphia areas. Independence Charter School West focuses on implementing a bilingual curriculum (English and Spanish) as well as developing all students academically, physically, and socially/ emotionally in order to create global citizens in the future. My students are at a pivotal point in their development where they are growing and learning at a rapid rate, and I want to ensure that I provide the quality education that they deserve in all their areas of development. By having letter stamps, play dough stamps, and stamp pads, I could help to increase their letter and sound recognition, fluency, and sight word knowledge in a fun and engaging way. These skills are essential for students who might be living in an impoverished environment. Please help my students to succeed!
