Unique does not begin to describe my students and school. Containing 8th graders up to 20 year old seniors, my school offers an alternative route for students to be successful, given that several of them haven't found success at their previous schools. Some students have anxiety, a rough home life, or just have made some poor choices along the way, but all students demonstrate a maturity about their education, including a drive to succeed. When a student shares their story and interviews, a requirement to be accepted in the school, it shows that despite all the hardships they have experienced, they continue to work and strive to reach their goals. While the school is smaller in size, it contains the students who are the ones who normally sit in the back of the classroom, rarely speaking out. The students who often find themselves getting into trouble. The students who have been cast aside, and are now in an environment that supports and motivates them to reach their highest potential.
