My class is filled with 28 vibrant, eager, English Language Learners. One hundred percent of my students receive free school meals. Our school is located in a high poverty neighborhood surrounded by nonstop traffic. Many of our students live in temporary housing shelters. Nevertheless, they are excited about learning and they come to school every day with hope, expectation and enthusiasm.
