For this project, I am asking for alternate seating arrangements that will provide students with different flexible seating options. These options will provide students with movement when necessary and to become more engaged in the content. In order to provide these alternatives, my classroom needs a table to stand at for when students feel the need to stand. Wobble boards will be beneficial by creating slight movement while standing. Wobble cushions, stability balls, bouncy bands, and wobble chairs provide students the option to move and release energy while seated. Flexible seating will allow my students to make decisions for their own learning by choosing their preferred seating style. My students are active learners and flexible seating will provide them another way to make choices in their learning. Flexible seating will allow students to have more options of seating arrangements, beyond the typical chairs and desks. A variety of seating options creates a comfortable classroom environment that allows students to release energy. Being able to change seating types throughout the day can decrease potential behavior and attention issues. Your generosity would empower my students to choose the seating style that works best for them and enhance their learning environment.
