I have a diverse group of 9th -12th grade students. Most come from low and middle income homes. Some students come from different districts to study music in our program as well. They are creative, fun, and sometimes a little crazy. I have three choir groups who perform throughout the year. My select group performs at community events and at senior citizen centers. The school is very active in reaching out to the community, and the students have lots of school spirit. All you have to do is go to one of their pep rallies to see it. The teachers are caring and the administration is very supportive. For so many of these students, music class is the best part of their day. The students create a special bond with each other as musicians and singers. This helps to nurture their love for music and to pass it on to future generations. In the end, quality tools are "instrumental" to the success of our music program.
