Our Title I K-6 elementary campus is composed of average middle to low income class students attending for the opportunity at a quality education. Most are living in dual parent working households with a general appreciation for public education. The campus provides a 21st Century funded after-school academic and enrichment program, a decent amount of exposure to technology and promotes leadership skills by living and sharing the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People through the Leader In Me. I teach two classes of both ELA and science to a total of sixty-eight sixth grade students. Of those students eight have an IEP identifying their inability to pay attention. Even with the opportunities, support systems and our amazing educational staff, many students are struggling to stay focused, ultimately affecting their overall success.
