These are my 6th grade Language Arts students. We are a school that have 80 percent or more of our students receiving free and reduced lunches. My particular class is a 6th grade class of below level readers. My goal is to get them all on level before they head to the middle school. I feel that the transition into middle school will be more successful if they are not struggling with reading. This novel will help me get them closer to where they need to be.
