My student population is seventy-six percent socio-economically disadvantaged and ninety-seven percent minority groups. The Hispanic population consist of seventy-seven percent, African Americans at fourteen percent, Asian at six percent and three percent for others. My students struggle like other students living with a limited amount of family income. Many of them have to work with the parents to help support the family both financially and as a guardian taking care of the younger children. My students come to school wanting to learn and they deserve to have resources similar to other non-disadvantaged schools.
