My name is Carla Smith. I have been in the field of education for 25 years working in a variety of positions. I am currently working at Westside Middle School as the media specialist. I am always looking for a way to engage all of our students while keeping them informed about the latest trends in books and in technology. The best part of my job is seeing students get excited about reading and using technology. I think I learn more from them than they do from me at times but each day is different and exciting. I try very hard to promote a student-centered media center. I want them to take ownership of the space and for it to be the best place in the building.
