JA City Biztown is an incredible experience for students to learn real-world skills in Math by participating in a unit about personal finance and running a business, and then putting what they have learned to work when running a mini-city for the day. Students spend weeks in advance learning about bank accounts, checking accounts, credit cards, as well as business topics such as profit and cost, pricing, supply and demand. The experience is unforgettable! After one trip a student said, "Now I can see why my dad comes home so tired every night!" Students can find hidden talents and explore interests as they participate.
