In today's classrooms the competition for student attention is tougher than ever. Students are constantly given books that they feel they cannot relate to, leading to disengaged and apathetic learners. By offering more current, relevant literature my hope is that students will be able to connect to what they are reading more easily. By being more engaged in their reading, student learning skyrockets. Dystopian literature has always been an engaging way to reach students, and the book Ready Player One is full of relevant topics to today's teenage students. Successfully encouraging students to read literature in a classroom setting is important in creating lifelong learners. This project is step in the right direction toward that goal.
