My 4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the South Carolina Children's Book Award program each year. I want to increase the availability of the nominee books by adding 5 books to each 4th and 5th grade classroom library. If students have more access to these books, they will read them! Our students deserve more multicultural books! These nominee books cover various topics related to the 4th and 5th grade curriculum, as well as social issues that my students can make personal connections too. I want all of my students to become lifelong readers and leaders!

About my class
