I have materials such as weighted laps pads, sand tray therapy items, and protective art smocks for projects. These materials can be used in a variety of way to support both academic and social foundational skills. We can use the lap pads to help our students with sensory needs to feel secure and provide tactile input. The sand tray therapy can be used for regulation as well as role play and we can practice academic goals as well. The smocks will be very useful in helping our student to participate in art projects or messy sensory activities without the discomfort of having messy clothes.
