Our students benefit greatly from visual supports when responding to wh-questions, requesting desired items, and formulating comments. Visual supports include communication boards, picture symbols, visual schedules, and more! When presented with visual support, students can better access the curriculum and engage in classroom routines. We are in need of a color printer to create visual symbols to adapt our classrooms for the students. Supports are color-coded, created in a variety of sizes, and individualized for each student. A color-coding system aids students in differentiating parts of speech to formulate phrases and sentences, as well as organize language. Sizing and color emphasis is taken into consideration for students with visual impairment. A color printer would make it possible to adapt to the environment so that our students can reach academic, functional, and communication goals!
