My kindergarteners are a very curious and energetic bunch. These students come to school everyday with a smile on their faces and eager to learn. They can brighten anyone's day with a simple hello and a hug. I not only want my learning environment to be safe for my kiddos, but I also want them to have the opportunity to grow significantly in their math and reading skills in order to help them have a successful life and achieve their dreams. I teach many students from low-income families, so many of them do not have the exposure to technology that students in more affluent neighborhoods do. They love being on the computer so they can listen to and read books. They also love playing math games that challenge them to hone their skills. Unfortunately, due to a lack of technology available in the school, there are not very many opportunities for my kindergarteners to work with technology in the classroom.
