I teach in a public preschool for special education students. My morning class consists of up to 10 students who all have individual education plans. My afternoon class can have up to 20 students who have both Individual Education Plans and community/typically developing students. I work in an urban setting. The poverty rate is so high in our district that all students receive a free breakfast. We are a district with a large ENL population. Approximately half of my students speech a different language in their home. A third of my afternoon class qualifies for a state grant to come to preschool. Their parents must be 127% below the poverty level to qualify for the grant. We have approximately 465 children centrally housed in our preschool center. This center is both state and nationally certified. We are also a licensed childcare center. W
