This is my twenty-sixth year teaching. I love interacting with my academic Babies. I am constantly reminded about patience, forgiveness, hope, and tenacity. The Babies bring joy, especially when they take my challenges and do awesome things, using their talents and gifts. I learn from them: slang, the latest dance, and cool apps. I also learn that they can sing, play the piano, write poetry, and make videos. We do presentations and plays; projects with other classes and schools; and take field trips to the museums, parks, colleges, and festivals. We do hands-on, project-based, and authentic audience learning. Guests visit us and we visit guests. We sing, dance, draw, solve puzzles, make videos, and use technology. Equally important, we are kind, sweet, and lovely to each other.
