So many little authors lay dormant in our mists. Can we awaken them? I am teaching a first grade classroom in our K3 plus program. This program allows student to begin school one month early. Why would anyone want to start a month early one may ask? Good question! My students come from a high-need community. These students either come straight from Mexico or their parents are from Mexico. Therefore, with English being a challenge to these little ones our school provides them with a month extra of education in order for them to begin school at the same level as their peers.
