My students are learning to be independent learners and they are learning how to make the best choices for their own learning. In order to foster this independence and keep them excited to learn, they must have a positive and comfortable learning environment. My school is located in a high poverty city. My students receive free breakfast and lunch because of their families' financial circumstances. My students come to school with a positive attitude towards learning, but are behind academically due to lack of resources and support from home. My personal goal is to create a safe, fun and loving environment in order for each student to achieve success.

About my class
