My students interviewed the teachers to determine what toys they thought would be most beneficial to students with special needs. These toys will help with learning, memory, and movement. My students are using the engineering process to create these toys. This project will allow my students to see their ideas come to life while making a difference in our school and community. They are learning to be global citizens and that science is a way to make the world a better place while meeting the learning outcomes of the STEM curriculum. This teaches them measurement, planning, interviewing, presenting, and building skills.
