Many times students in career-technical education courses don't see the value behind their learning until they enter the world of work. It may be years after high school graduation when these students realize the knowledge they have acquired when seeking employment. Preparing high school students as young adults entering the workforce will provide them with confidence as leave our classrooms. Having a portfolio highlighting their skills, abilities, accomplishments, and network of community members will pave the way to successful and fulfilling career. Each student's portfolio will include the following documents they can be proud of: Resume, work permit, personal essay, transcripts, cover letter, job application, interview questions/responses, interview attire guidelines, achievements/honors, work samples, network list, and letters of recommendations. Please help me in helping them "Achieve Great Things" and "Get a Job" successfully!
