This project will finalize the flexible seating for my classroom. My arrangement includes standing room, average table seating, floor table seating, horseshoe table seating, and floor cushion seating. My teaching style promotes individualized learning to meet the needs of classes that range from 22 to 70 students with varying levels of ability. The floor cushion seating with lap desks will be used to promote small-group collaboration between myself and up to 10 of my students at a time. This area will be used for discussions and formative assessment. This is the last piece needed to create a dynamic student-centered learning experience. With such large class sizes, flexible seating is what allows me increased one-on-one and small group time with my students. Thank you for your consideration. I can assure that the materials provided through this project are appreciated and will be well- utilized to promote student mastery.
