I always have some students that require a quiet area to learn, but also need alternative seating due to specific and individual sensory needs. The bean bag seats will allow them to engage in the task that was given and experience success with independence and integrity. This alternative seating is also a great way to give that "chill out" period that many of my students need daily and sometimes multiple times a day. Due to the individual disabilities and disorders, many students experience frustration and aggravation with others and this seating will be a great resource for them to process their emotions and regulate when they are ready to rejoin the class successfully.
