Our school is a Title 1 School. It is located in a low income area. We have a 100% free and reduced breakfast and lunch program. Many of our students did not have the opportunity to go to preschool. When students enter Kindergarten they are already behind their more affluent peers. We have dedicated teachers and administrators who work hard to create a positive learning environment for our students. Our students deserve the best education we can give them. We offer before and after school opportunities for our students to enhance their learning. Many of my student do not have access to books, computers and basic school supplies at home. My students work hard and want to learn. They are excited when they get to use computers. I encourage my students to read at least 20 minutes a night at home. Education is the key for these students to get out of poverty. We need computers in the classroom to be competitive in the 21st Century.
