I work in a Title I school district and have been in my current teaching position for the past 6 years. My students come from low income families but are eager and ready to learn every day they come to Physical Education class. I see my 4th-6th graders one day a week for a 50 minute lesson. We have a lot to cover in such a short period of time. I see my middle school girls daily for a 45 minute lesson. At the end of each trimester, I receive a new group of girls for PE. I work with great staff and tremendous administrators. Everyone supports the elective teachers and know that we play a crucial role in the development of each child.
