Flexible seating allows students to make choices that affect how they learn. My students are 4, 5, an 6 year olds who need the opportunity to move, wiggle, and bounce throughout the day. During independent times, they can choose somewhere to go in the classroom that makes them comfortable. This increases their motivation for learning. It gives them responsibility and control of their own learning. The items I have chosen will help offer more options for my students in the classroom. The wobble stools will allow my wigglers to concentrate, and the bean bag chairs will give them a place to sit that is comfortable and cozy. Flexible seating will positively affect my students' ability to focus and will create a fun, relaxed environment to facilitate learning.
