I have selected titles and resources to enhance lessons on award winning books and specific authors. The students look forward to reading stories by Lois Lowry, Roald Dahl, and Madeline L'Engle every year. Because they are favorites extra copies are always needed. Patriotic celebrations such as Constitution Day are also favorite times of the year. I selected several titles to add value to those lessons. I have a strong desire to support our students with special needs. I believe the material selected will provide the strategies to accomplish this goal. Every effort is made to understand our unique population of students who suffer from social anxiety or who have autism. I hope the books will assist with this endeavor.
