The furniture I'm requesting will let kids move. The students have asked why they have hard desks and not a variety of furniture. When you think of an office, do people sit on hard chairs the same way, every day? I envision four areas of different seating. From standing tables to cushions on the standard desk seats to short tables with bean bags. Moving minds--create learners. The donation of the furniture will keep them comfortable and active. This furniture will help with behavior problems with my autistic and ADHD students. My students will be able to focus because they can move while they are learning. Bouncy balls will let them bounce--letting their mind to be creative and think. A lower table with comfortable bean bags will offer a change from hard desks. A standing table will allow them to stretch. The different stations will be a refreshing change.
