My students aren't your typical everyday students. They are not able to sit still for long periods of time. They are not able to easily stay focused on one given topic. Most come from single parent homes and many are being raised by grandparents. Many have seen and experienced the hardships of life too soon. Despite all of that, they continue to have a spark in their eyes each morning when I great them.
