I am asking for funding to purchase a copy of Mr. Popper’s Penguins and Edward Tulane. We are learning how to annotate to help with our deeper thinking and understanding of the text we read. My students will all have their own copy of the next two books we will be reading during shared reading. This will allow them to annotate to dive deeper with their learning, while allowing them to start their own library! When we are done reading students will be allowed to take their book home to enjoy the book again and share with their siblings since we live in a high poverty community.
