One hundred percent of my students receive free school breakfast and lunch. My students are highly motivated to read books and advance their reading skills. They borrow books from our class library everyday. In order to reach their goal, each student needs to read 200 books in their reading level and pass comprehension tests. I do not have enough books to accommodate their need. They especially need more access to non-fiction books to help expose them to academic vocabulary. This will help them to be competitive when they are faced with nationwide standardized testing next year.
