My students are academic driven scholars who model scholarly behaviors on a daily basis. One of those behaviors they practice, on a daily basis, is exercising their intellect. I am at an academic campus where my students love to exercise their minds through advanced nonverbal expression through brain games. My 1st-5th grade students demonstrate their gifts and talents through creativity and divergent thinking which allows them to solve problems with careful planning and ingenuity. My students come in to my classroom ready to break out of established patterns of their everyday life, and are ready to wear their creative thinking hats to look at and solve problems in a different way.
