Many of my students have not been able to be successful in the past because of access to an appropriate computer for coding, leaving them out on the ability to stay caught up in our classes. While many have been given a Chromebook to complete school assignments, these computers do not work for my coding students. Many of our students come from lower-income homes and do not have a functioning computer for our Web Design class. They only have a smartphone or a Chromebook, which does not work for our class subject since Chromebooks do not have the ability to run complicated coding software so they need the requested laptops.
