Our school is one of the smaller elementary schools in our district. We have grades K-5th and each grade has 3 tracks. We are a school with 75% free and reduced lunch and have various children who come from diverse backgrounds. Each class size is perfect but unfortunately the kids only have PE once a week for only 50 minutes. My students thrive in Physical Education, and are moving non-stop in my classroom as soon as their feet touch the gym floor. Our time is very limited so we take advantage of every second we have to move and learn.Blending learning has now become a huge part of our districts vision and it is imperative that students utilize technology in not only their classrooms but when they go to their specials classes as well. Technology is being used in just about everything they do and now state testing and other forms of assessment are being used in the form of computers and other high tech equipment. We want our students to be tech-savvy and be ready their future.
