My preschool and kindergarten students range in age from 3-6 years old. They are a mix of students with Autism and their typically developing peers. They are so excited about being at school and don't realize that they are learning skills that will follow them throughout the rest of their lives. As my special needs students learn to interact with their classmates, they are learning valuable language and social skills. Their typically developing classmates learn that the world is full of wonderful differences and learn to look past the surface appearance and appreciate the person within.
