My students are located in an urban region of Ohio. All of the students that I work with have been identified with either a learning disability or a cognitive disability. In other words, my students are special needs students. The student body that I work with is very diverse. Students come to our school from various ethnic, social, and cultural backgrounds. Approximately 70 percent of the student body has been identified as socio-economically disadvantaged. As a result of the economic disadvantage suffered by many of our parents and students, they do not have a lot of resources at home to spend on educational supplies.
