My students have been complaining about the fluorescent lights for years. Fluorescent lights are a staple in classrooms today but their harsh glare and flickering light can cause eyestrain, headaches, and anxiety in students. I've tried using lamps in our classroom instead of the overhead lights but they don't provide enough light for adequate instruction. I've removed the blinds in my classroom to allow for more natural light but it is not enough to fill a classroom. We would love to use our overhead fluorescent lights in our classroom. Fluorescent light filters will help improve classroom concentration, enhance our study environment, and reduce tension and stress felt by many students. Fluorescent light filters will to help with the number of students that are being overstimulated in the classroom. In addition, they will help to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere to which students can maximize their learning.
