I teacher primarily Sophomore students. Our school is a large one, being the only public high school in our city. With that being said, we serve a very high percentage of students who are below the poverty line. More than half of our students are on free and reduced lunch. Many of our students would not be able to purchase books for personal reading, so I have continued to try and build a collection of books that my students either read as part of the classroom curriculum, or books that my students can check out from me for their own reading outside of the classroom.
