We are a new public military academy in North Carolina associated with the US Army...one of only a few similar schools in the country. Our physical facilities are excellent, but we lack the years of accumulated science equipment to which teachers at older schools have access. We have an extremely diverse student population drawn from all over our urban county. About 70% are eligible for free/reduced lunch. Our students are required to pass honors courses in order to remain here from 6th grade through 12th grade. For this reason, we try to do whatever is necessary to ensure they are successful. My students are working hard to realize big dreams. Most of them have parents for whom reality fell short of their dreams. They do their best to try and support the dreams of their children.
