The class is made up of second graders who range in age 6 to 8 years old. The majority of the students have another language spoken in their home other than English whether it be Spanish or a language from different African countries. Our school is an inter-city school where the students receive free breakfast and lunch. The students are eager to learn and love to read. They are very inquisitive and curious about the world around them.
