Welcome to my room / college dorm room (as it is affectionately called by my team mates), This school year I had the amazing opportunity to be part of a Google Apps for Education initiative at Hayfield Secondary in Alexandria Virginia. Although my class did not receive the Chromebooks we decided to pursue our technology adventure with google apps using some ancient laptops. And although some days a student may have to wait up to 20 minutes for the computer to boot up we all agree it is worth while for what we can do once we are online and getting Googly. This year teaching a blended classroom with Google has transformed my teaching and the amount my students have benefited has been staggering. The proof came recently when they took their state mandated assessments and all my classes literally knocked the assessment out of the ballpark. But beyond assessments my students love what we do every day!!
