Have you ever gotten a new book? Not one that has been used or worn, but one that is new with crisp pages and vibrant illustrations? Having new books for our preschoolers will enhance their love of reading and develop their early literacy skills through concepts of print and quality literature. It will also give quality literature for teachers to develop quality lessons. We live in a low income area where teachers are paid well below the national average and funding for education is currently 43 in the nation. Teachers do not have the funds to supplement their classrooms and the books are worn.
