My ELL students come before school to read with me and my aides. They are spending positive time reading books. Their reading and comprehension is improving as we spend time each morning in books. Most of these children don't get the opportunity outside of school to spend time reading. This program is helping so many of them to read more, which helps them in all other subjects at school. The books I have chosen are for the younger students. I have a lot of books for older students because I taught 5th grade for a lot of years and have worked to build my library. Now I have students from every grade level, so I'll need to continue to build my library to provide books to motivate my younger students. I will also use incentives to help them be motivated to read more.
