The first years of school establish the essential foundation for literacy learning and enables students for future literacy achievement. My goal is to establish the foundation for literacy learning. I teach all subjects to twenty students. Literacy is a part of every subject. It is the core of all learning. If students are not literate by third grade they have a harder time closing the gap. That's why it is so important for my third grade students to leave my class with a strong foundation that will last a lifetime.
