I am proud to teach an outstanding group of high school aged students with severe intellectual and physical disabilities- we call ourselves "Super Scotties". The daily goal in our classroom is to give these students with disabilities the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime as well as learn functional skills to help them live as independently as possible. In order to provide these opportunities, I rely on high school peers to volunteer their time with my students. This allows my group of Super Scotties to learn and interact in a supportive, loving and inclusive environment on campus. I love coming to work each day and being able to connect with students in such a positive and meaningful way. Thank you for supporting the Super Scotties and making our classroom a more wonderful place to learn.
