They say that special education takes a special person. Maybe I am special. I would just consider myself one of the teachers that wants to save the world. If I can't save the world, I hope one of my student can. I am a special education teacher for students ranging from 2nd grade to 12th grade. I specialize in students with learning disabilities, health impairments, and behavior concerns. While my focus for my elementary students is to attempt to get them on grade level, my focus in high school is motivation, determination, and self-advocacy.
