My students are predominantly from high poverty areas with low educational attainment. Through my instruction, I deliver the importance of education and organization. My students need additional assistance in these areas in order to begin to compete with students and schools with access to such basic resources as updated textbooks.
Portfolio folders and crayons will assist my class with creating their interactive notebooks for learning purposes. Additionally, a document camera, printer and ink allow me to disseminate and share resources with my class quickly.
My students, like most students, love interactive activities. They love exploring different cultures while understanding how people in general are all connected. As a Social Studies teacher I have the opportunity to feed those desires within my students. Unfortunately, like many schools we have limited to no access to efficiently functioning resources that would allow my students to have the educational experience they deserve.
